‘African Somerset’ is an amalgamation of African feasting and camping within a beautiful Somerset location. It is aimed at bringing communities together with a mutual love of fabulous food, great music, camping and cider drinking. So come and join us for a wonderful rural weekend with family and friends where you can look forward to:
- Overnight Camping - Loads of space for your Tents or Campervans, with African-style hot showers (see pic below).
- African-inspired BBQ - All cooked on Open Fire and inside Kubu (The Hippo) - see pics below.
- Live Music - "The Legendary Snake Snake Snake" band will be playing their Burrow-Hill-Billy-Bluegrass-Cowpunk in the early evening, with good music played throughout the day.
- Drinks - Please bring your own drinks (for adults and children) or go proper Somerset by tucking into local Cider which will be on sale at ‘The Watering Hole’.
- Games - Traditional African and Somerset games (with a twist) for both the kids and adults.
Access - The venue will be accessible between 1pm and 3pm on Saturday ONLY. This will provide enough time to get your camp site organised before the Feasting begins from 5pm onward.
Camping - Please ensure that you are fully self-sufficient in terms of camping equipment and accessories.
