The 3rd edition of the African Somerset “Feast”ival once again aims to provide an authentic African experience within the beautiful Somerset Levels. The event is ideal for families who enjoy open-fire cooking, good music and camping in the great outdoors!
This year, the event will be hosted over the entire weekend, providing attendees with three options to enjoy the festivities:
- Full-weekend tickets include camping, evening feast and entertainment on both Friday and Saturday.
- Half-weekend tickets include camping, evening feast and entertainment on Saturday only.
- Day tickets include evening feast and entertainment on Saturday only.
Highlights for the weekend include:
- Feasting - African-inspired dishes cooked over the Open Fire or Hot-Smoked by Chef PJ Vadas. PJ is considered one of South Africa’s top chefs and is especially flying over for this year’s event.
- Refreshments – In addition to the Cocktail Bar, for the first time the Somerset Shebeen (traditional African bar) will be in full operation selling local Somerset ales and ciders; and imported African beers, wines and spirits. A limited range of soft-drinks will also be available for purchase.
- Music – A combination of live and recorded music played until 11pm on both evenings.
- Games - Traditional African and Somerset games (with a twist) for both the kids and adults to enjoy.
